Introduction
I recently purchased a 2024 Harley Davidson Softail Low Rider S from Riverside Harley Davidson, with just 4 miles on the odometer. After completing the break-in period, I was excited to break in my new ride on an unforgettable moto camping adventure with two friends. Covering over 800 miles, this trip was filled with thrilling rides, breathtaking scenery, and memorable experiences. Here’s a detailed recount of our journey, perfect for anyone looking for an exhilarating Harley Davidson adventure.
The Journey Begins
Our adventure started with the roar of our Harley Davidson motorcycles. We left work around 4 PM on Friday and hit the road on the 395, heading towards Bishop, CA. With only what we could pack on the backs of our bikes, we were ready for the journey ahead. My brand-new Softail Low Rider S, now with 1,000 miles, was ready for its first big test. Arriving in Bishop around 7 PM, we found most campgrounds either full or closed. Luckily, we secured a spot just in time. We slept directly on the ground, under the starlit sky.
Waking Up to Nature’s Beauty
The next morning was magical. Waking up to the sun cresting over the majestic mountains surrounding us was an awe-inspiring experience. The sound of rushing water added to the serene atmosphere, making it a perfect start to our day.
Gearing Up for the Day
After soaking in the morning beauty, we headed into town to load up on essentials—coffee, food, and fishing gear. With our supplies ready, we set out to explore the stunning lakes in the area.
Exploring the Lakes
We visited the major lakes: Lake Sabrina, South Lake, and North Lake. Each spot offered unique views and excellent fishing opportunities. The peaceful waters and scenic landscapes made our stops truly memorable.
A Night Under the Stars
After a day filled with activities, we returned to our campsite. We cooked a delicious dinner and spent the evening sharing stories and enjoying the tranquility of the night.
Heading Home with Memorable Stops
We left early the next morning, making a stop at the famous Erick Schat's Bakery for some treats before hitting the road home. Along the way, we visited the Fish Hatchery, which was an awesome experience. Our final stop was in Randsburg, where we enjoyed drinks and lunch before completing our journey.
